It's almost like being there

If you are like me, you really, really wanted to go to the 2015 National Speleological Society's 2015 Convention in Pulaski County, MO . It's all nest week from July 13 to 17. There are also pre and post convention events. And from what I understand Missouri has some awesome caves.

Instead of standing in front of your house with picket sign chanting, “We wanna go! We wanna go!”, there are ways that we can follow what goes on, almost in real time.

First, if you have friends going, (Hi, Amos! Hi, Carol! Hi, Kathy!) you might be able to get “blow-by-blow” commentary by text message. Go ahead. Ask them. See how long till they block you.

2015 NSS ConventionThe first line communication for the 2015 Convention is the website http://nss2015.caves.org/. They are showing this as, “The Hitchhicker's Guide to Missouri Caving.” All the stuff in a nutshell. Read through it. Enjoy it.

There is a great Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/NSSConvention2015?fref=ts. A lot of fresh content is added there all the time. Make sure you “like” and “follow” to get the latest information.

NSS 2015 Convention is on Twitter at https://twitter.com/NSS2015. I'm hoping there's regular updates. Just in case use your favorite hash-tag tool and follow #NSS2015.

Maybe if we're lucky, very lucky, someone will have a few sessions on Periscope https://www.periscope.tv/ or Meerkat http://meerkatapp.co/. That would be awesome, too.

Anyway you do it, just do it. And don't forget to make tweets with #NSS2015 so we all can follow your conversation.

See you all next week.

Allen
